NEW PROJECT WIN:
External envelope specialist, Cairhill Structures, has chosen Weather Defence as it’s preferred external sheathing board for the new Lyell Centre for Earth and Marine Science and Technology in Edinburgh. The new centre will be the Scottish headquarters for the British Geological Survey (BGS) as well as a major joint BGS/Heriot-Watt University research centre for geological, petroleum and marine sciences. It will provide offices, research laboratory areas, aquarium laboratories and associated working areas. Currently under construction and due for completion in early 2016, Morrison Construction is the main contractor on the £9.6m design and construct contract.
