Siniat Bluclad wins Gold at RHS Chelsea Flower Show (25th May 2017) Author Siniat Date 25/05/2017 Community Siniat’s Bluclad played a role – albeit a small one – to help create Gold Medal garden at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. Charlotte Harris says, “Siniat’s Technical Team were surprised to get a call from a Chelsea designer, but they were very helpful and responsive, checked my designs and were happy to recommend Bluclad as my exterior render board.” Richard Curle, Managing Director of garden contractors, Landscape Associates, says “We had just 14 days to build the whole of Charlotte’s Show Garden – both the hardscaping and landscaping. Part of the design was a back perimeter wall where our ultimate objective was to create something quickly with a timber frame that when completed would appear like a solid brick wall with a rendered finish. “We used Siniat’s Bluclad because it’s been around for years and we know it well – the last thing you want when you’re under extreme time pressure is to be wasting time on materials that are difficult to cut. It’s provided a good, stable surface for the render finish and provided a clean aesthetic finish for the backdrop to the rest of the garden.” Charlotte’s garden is sponsored by the Royal Bank of Canada to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Confederation of Canada and the 10th year of the RBC Blue Water Project. It is inspired by the vast and ecologically vital boreal forest and freshwater lakes of Canada. https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/rhs-chelsea-flower-show/Gardens/2017/the-royal-bank-of-canada-garden
